Age Concern: Private social day services for older people

Day Care services are for older people who can benefit from the support offered in a friendly group setting.

These services are part of a range of services Age Concern Northumberland offer to support you to stay in your own home.

What is available for me at the Day Centre?
• group activities
• individual support
• information and advice
• friendly staff and volunteers
• make new friends
• reduce social isolation
• hot meal at lunch time
• transport to and from the centre

How do I arrange a Day Centre service?
You will usually require an assessment in order to access the day care service. This is arranged through the Day Services Development Manager: 0845 140 00 88.

Where are the day care centres?
Centres are located in various locations across the County. Further information on the Day Care service is also available in a leaflet, available from Age Concern’s Head Office. If you require information on any of our other services, contact Head Office on 0845 140 00 88.

The cost per session is between £21.00 and £25.00 depending on which centre you attend.
