Police incidents in Amble: April

 Introducing our new section on incidents of law and order in the Amble area.

Inspector Sue Peart says “I want the public to know that they can talk to us about issues such as drugs in their community and we will do something about the problem  – if we get specific information we will make arrests.”

• 18/04/11 Only 1 crime in Amble this week   – at : 46 King Edward Street, theft of wiper blades from a motor vehicle a red Vauxhall Astra. The crime happened between: 1700 on WED 13/04/11  and 1100 on FRI  15/04/11.  The value of the wipers approx £20.

• 11/04/11 A quiet weekend in Amble with no reported crime.
A 21 y/o man from the Lesbury area was arrested for being drunk and disorderly on Saturday night in Amble. He received a fixed penalty ticket (£80 fine).
There was 1 crime in Alnwick, a criminal damage to a window

 • A warrant was executed at 27 Leazes Street in Amble yesterday (07/04/11) – drugs were recovered and the occupant Craig McCormack b12/08/84 was arrested and charged with possession of amphetamine and also given a cannabis warning. Court on 19/04/11 (South East N’land Mags 2pm)

• Theft of pedal cycle from 27 Scott Street. Committed :-  0900 on TUE 05/04/11  and  1500 on TUE 05/04/11   Pedal cycle: Guru Model BMX Black/Red, Value £100 Child’s 20 inch wheels, damage to right handle where rubber is missing, mainly black with red sections, seat half red and red on metal work. Guru written in red on side of bike, sticker transfer of shark, quite distincitve.
