Brides and Bouquets
For those planning a wedding this year, help and advice are available at St. Cuthbert’s Church. A wedding fair is in the offing, taking place in June, in both the church and Parish Hall, Dovecote Street. St. Mark’s Church is working with St. Cuthbert’s to give advice on wedding plans.
Many people would like to be married in church, but perhaps are not familiar with their local church. This is an opportunity to come and meet the Vicar, Reverend Diane Westmoreland and find out about a wedding service in church, the registrar’s role, music for the service and possibly a choir. Wedding dresses and flowers will also be displayed in church.
At the same time, in the Parish Hall, will be an exhibition of wedding wares, including reception venues, food and cakes, flowers for bouquets, sprays, decorations, photographers and cars.
The date will be Saturday, 25th June  10am to 5pm.
