Community Forum continues

Amble Community Forum will continue to meet, despite losing the financial support of Northumberland County Council. Members at the last forum decided to continue their work by scheduling forum meetings prior to the regular meetings between Amble Development Trust and Amble Town Council.

Future minutes will be posted on The Ambler’s website, on the Town Council’s noticeboards and in the Library.

The community forums in Northumberland were initially set up as a means for local people to discuss issues of concern in their area, and for the County Council to gauge public opinion before setting some of their objectives.

Members were keen to stress that now the forum would focus on Amble and the area, rather than discussing County Council targeted objectives.

If you have views on Amble and ideas for its future, you will be very welcome at the next meeting 6pm at Fourways2 on 20th June. Alternatively you can post messages on the Amble Community Forum Facebook page.
