Brambles

We received £19,975 from Northumberland County Council to develop our outdoor area, the funding was used to provide a poly tunnel and gardening area for the children and families and an innovative stream, den, and willow tunnel area. The children have had a lot of fun and gained knowledge, planting the seeds, then watching them grow into carrots, snap peas, broadbeans and tomatoes and they have also enjoyed eating the produce. We have also sold some of the plants and vegetables to families to buy further seeds.

We have a new preschool providing free nursery places and the Early Years Foundation Stage to children aged 3yrs – 5yrs, which is called Amble Preschool and run by Nicky Gemmel, Becky Cummings and Sally Hardy.

All proceeds raised at the folowing events will go towards buying resources and equipment for the children at Brambles Childcare Centre.
