Amble’s Torchlight Procession was a resounding success say both organisers and participants.

Once again Queen Street thronged with people to watch the parade and Christmas Lights switch on. The procession which took place on 20th November was led by Frosty the Snowman with the children following behind carrying the lanterns they had made. Drum din set the beat as local groups paraded down the street to the Town Square.

Florence Angus from the Christmas Lights Committee said “I’m absolutely delighted, it was a real carnival atmosphere. The response from everyone was just great. I can’t thank everyone enough.”

Once again local children and parents had been hard at work in lantern building workshops organised by Sara Jenson Boon. And as usual Santa called in to Spurreli’s  to meet local children and hear what they would like for Christmas.
