Become one of 2012’s Faces of Britain!

A website has been set up with the opportunity for local residents, counting down to the Olympics, Diamond Jubilee and Euro 2012 to join in and produce a time capsule for 2012.

The site, Faces of Britain, is inviting people from across the country to upload a photo of themselves onto it completely free of charge. The site will bring together everyone who is looking forward to the next few months, and the photos will be kept online as a permanent reminder for everyone taking part.

The country has been divided up into areas and there is space for 212 participants from each area of the UK, representing almost 100,000 people. Once individual areas are complete the 212 photos will be made into a grid-style commemorative poster, which will be given out free of charge to local charities, community groups and libraries, and made available for individuals and organisations to buy.

This year will be history in the making, so here’s a great way of saying ‘I was there!’ Log on to www.facesofbritain.co.uk to join in.
