This is a good school

Acklington CE First School
‘This is a good school’
Ofsted, October 2012

We are delighted with our new Ofsted report! We were so pleased that the inspector agreed with all our judgements about the school and agreed with what we are currently doing to improve provision further. It is a credit to all our tremendous staff, children, parents and governors that we have continued to improve since the last inspection, and have been judged to have moved up a category to a ‘good’ school, even in the new tougher Ofsted regime! And, as a school built on Christian foundations, we were particularly pleased that he noted our children’s ‘outstanding’ spiritual development. Ms Fenton, Headteacher.

‘The good curriculum provides increasingly rich opportunities for learning. Outstanding spiritual development opportunities successfully encourage pupils to reflect with fascination and curiosity on the world around them.’
‘Pupils enjoy their learning and thrive in the happy, friendly family atmosphere’ Ofsted October 2012

It is now time to apply for 2013 Reception & Year 0, and we also have places available in other year groups. Please come for a visit!
