Brambles Blog: Welcome to Adele

Posted on 18th December 2012 | in Brambles Nursery

Brambles is so excited to have Adele Younger join our staff team. She will be our Early Years Professional (EYP).
EYPs are central to helping children develop from birth to the age of five. She will use her knowledge to lead practice, and support the other practitioners.

You can be assured that if your child attends a childcare setting that employs an Early Years Professional, your child will experience a high standard of quality care and education. Early Years Professional status is equivalent in level to qualified teacher status.

Adele says, “I am pleased to be joining Brambles Childcare Centre and working with the staff team. I am so excited about the challenges ahead and supporting the staff, children and their famlies.”

Brambles Fire work display was a wonderful, fun night. The soup was kindly donated by Jasper’s, and Bruce Durham donated his time to set off all the fireworks.

A big thank you to all the staff, parents and families for all your support. We managed to raise £244 for resources and equipment. A big “well done” to Kath for Brambles receiving the top “5 star award” from the Environment rating, and for providing the children and staff with healthy and wholesome meals.

In the half term holidays, the children had a lovely week with visits from the local fire brigade. They got to go inside a fire engine, wear the hats and masks, and some even used the fire hose. The children really had a lot of fun and enjoyed the experience. Charlie said, “Can I have another shot of the hose?” Rees said, “It went very dark when he pulled down the visor on the helmet.” And Ruby said, “The hose was very heavy.”

If you would like to book your child in our holiday club over the Christmas holidays or receive a  copy of our Christmas planner, please contract Elaine Chaplin on 01665 710453.

Brambles provides full day care for children from 12 weeks to 5, free child care for 2-year-olds (if you meet certain criteria), and flexible childcare for government funded places for 3 and 4-year-olds.
Please contact Pauline or Paula on 01665 710453 for further information.
