Caravan owners told to buy new or get off the park

Posted on 27th June 2013 | in Business News , Heritage & Tourism

Owners of caravans parked at Amble Links Caravan Park contacted The Ambler claiming that site owners Park Leisure have issued them with an ultimatum; to buy new caravans or leave the park.

An online forum was busy with disgruntled caravan owners discussing the situation and claiming that Park Leisure, have written to about 30 owners, whose caravans are approaching 15 years old, saying vans of this age will not be in keeping with the 5-star rating of the site.

However caravan owners say that this was not made clear when they bought their caravans. Some say they were mis-sold, and not told that there was an age limit for caravans on the park.

Park Leisure have declined to comment.

  1. Ohh that is a bit harsh. Most people who live in a caravan probably can’t afford to buy new.
