A brilliant cook book

Posted on 08th December 2014 | in Community

We launched our new cookery book, ‘Recipes @ St Cuthbert’s’, on Saturday 4th October. It proved to be an amazing event attended by a great crowd.

Adam Robson, Executive Sous Chef at the Tree House restaurant in Alnwick, performed a cooking demonstration of one of his recipes from the book. His relaxed humorous style was very well received, and we are very grateful to Adam for helping us make our launch the huge success it was.

Various recipes, featured in the book, were also available for people to taste. So in the relaxed atmosphere, with a glass of wine in hand, people chatted to the contributors, as they tasted their recipes.

This brilliant idea, gave everyone the chance to ask any questions before trying the recipe for themselves at home.
Over 100 copies of the book were sold at the launch party, which has given us a great start.

‘Recipes @ St Cuthbert’s’ sells for just £5.00, which makes it an excellent stocking filler for Christmas.

The profits we make on the book will be divided between the Myanmar (Burma) Health Worker Training Programme and St Cuthbert’s Parish Church in Amble.

The books are now on sale in Amble at N&F Young Decorators, 8 Queen Street; ‘Strands’ gift shop; 45 Queen Street; Nu.U. Hairdressers, 9 Wellwood Street; and Spurreli Boutique Icecream, 12 Coquet Street.

They will also be available via mail order, visit www.stcuthbertsonline.com for more details.
