Posted on 02nd April 2015 | in Community

Hundreds of motorbikes will visit Amble on Saturday, as part of an annual charity event.

Easter-Egg-runBlyth Valley Motorbike Action Group collect Easter eggs from various collection points around Northumberland, and Saturday sees the bikers travel in huge numbers to pick up the eggs, before taking them to be distributed. Last year 865 bikes collected 1800Easter eggs and raised £400 for the Air Ambulance.

The bikers are due to leave Woodhorn Museum at around 11am and arrive in Amble at around 11.30pm.

They will travel down Queen Street, and will stop at the harbour for lunch, before travelling on to their next destination.

The eggs will be distributed to local children’s hospital wards, and any money collected will be donated to the Air Ambulance.
