Beryl Burton

St. Cuthbert’s Parish Church is teaming up with the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme again this autumn to bring you more high quality live entertainment in the Parish Hall with “Beryl – a romance on two wheels”, a play by Maxine Peake, performed by West Yorkshire Playhouse.

The play celebrates the life and sporting achievements of the champion cyclist Beryl Burton.

Beryl (pictured) was one of the most astonishing sports people ever to have lived, but with her down to earth, no-nonsense approach to life and to success, she remains a mystery.

The play will be performed on Friday 9 October at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, Dovecote Street, Amble, NE65 0DX. Tickets are £8 for adults, £7 for concessions and £5 for children (under 15), and will be available from N & F Young, Amble or from Mike Dixon (01670 760007). You will also be able to book online at: http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/highlights/
There will be a licensed bar at the event.

Hi Sue – the only booking information we have is in the article. There’s a phone number, a booking website and details of where to go in Amble to pick up your tickets.
