What do you do in your club?
I teach Freestyle Disco Dance, competitive and examination work through Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association.
Pupils are taught in bare feet and wear plain black practice wear. Sometimes trainers are worn in Hip Hop. Leg and arm weights are used in the training.
Freestyle is a combination of disco and gymnastics, danced to fast high energy music and is a very good form of exercise for any student. It requires a lot of training at home to maintain a certain level of flexibility.

Is there an age range?
Ages 4yrs to adult are taught to all levels. Beginners to Advanced.

Is there a charge?
There are dance fees to pay weekly or I give discount on a monthly basis.

How long has it been running?
The school was started by my Dance Teacher Anne Phillips. I took it over in 1994.

Who might be interested in joining your club?
Anyone is welcome. Dance can give confidence to a lot of students. It’s a great way to express yourself.

What’s the best thing about your club?
I think dancing to music gives children so much confidence. Parents often say to me they can see how their children’s confidence has grown after coming to the classes.

Who runs the club? How do I get in touch?
The school is run by Carol Gray. Contact her at Carolgray427@yahoo.co.uk or 07970 324384
