Come and paddle up the Coquet Estuary

Posted on 10th June 2015 | in Coquet Shorebase Trust

Coquet Shorebase Trust are running guided tours of the Coquet Estuary  every week over the summer.

canoe paddle at warkworth

Paddle from our base at the Braid, Amble  (as you leave Amble towards Warkworth, turn right towards Marina, then first left and our building is at the end of the road).  We will paddle  up the river to Warkworth and back and round the harbour.

Learn about the history, geology and wildlife of the estuary, and get tips on kayaking safety from our qualified instructors.  Look out for eider and shelduck  ducklings.

No previous experience necessary – wetsuits and buoyancy aids provided.  You have a choice of sit-on-top seakayaks (singles or doubles), open (Canadian) canoes or more traditional craft.

The trips take approximately 2hrs on the water, add on time to get kitted up, etc!
