Paddlers paradise

You may have noticed the new colourful, all-weather surfacing that has taken shape at the Paddlers recently. Despite the poor weather in January, the new “bouncy” surface has been completed and this means that access to the play equipment at the Paddlers is now easier, (and a lot less messy!) at any time of year!

At the time of print, we are awaiting the installation of a new roundabout, which should not take long to arrive, and a few minor adjustments are being made to the equipment to keep it in good condition. The Paddlers has suffered some vandalism and we hope that local residents can help us to stop this, by reporting any crime to the police, if it happens.

The new surfacing has been made possible by the Big Lottery’s “Children’s Play Programme” which Amble Development Trust were instrumental in securing, alongside Alnwick District Council and the Alnwick District Play Partnership.
