Kevin Keegan takes over. "We all eagerly await"

Safe to Shore

This dark and stormy violent sea
That beats upon the shore
Driven by a North East wind
That chills your mortal core
Then washed away the golden dunes
Now gone for evermore
Brings death to man and bird and beast
And fear from hells own door

Black rolling waves that crush the land
And pound the beach with power
Unleashed by natures forces
That makes man shrink and cower
And fishermen fear, for life and limb
When tossed by wind and wave
They pray that god in heaven above
Their lives and souls will save

And Seamen know the sea is cruel
And shows no man fear or pity
No shelter here of brick and stone
At home in town or city
She crushes steel and wood and bone
Then drives them neath the water
And makes a widow of a wife
An orphan of a daughter

Yet still the call to sea is strong
And man must heed that call
To sail to far and distant lands
In ships both large and small
Or cast his nets to catch the fish
As others have before
And hope the sea - his mistress
Shall bring him safe to shore.
