Weather Wise

The sun was shining brightly
So I went out for a stroll
But soon the wind began to blow
And clouds began to roll
The showers started slowly
Then lightening flashed on high
And thunder roared out loudly
And snow fell from the sky
Very soon the snow that fell
Was higher than my knees
Then the temperature began to drop
And everything did freeze.
I tried to struggle homeward
As the snow it turned to sleet
And I was soaked through to the skin
From my head down to my feet
The wind then turned into a gale
And blew the snow away
The temperature began to rise
All this weather in one day
The clouds above they parted
And the sun it shone for me
No I don’t live in the Antarctic
I live in Amble by the sea.

Matt Donoghue
