Boys Club becomes young people’s centre

You may have seen some activity at the building on Percy Street as the new management committee of what was the Amble Boys Club have begun their regeneration programme.

They are now working towards becoming a Community and Young People’s Centre. They are calling on members of the community to get involved; whatever your skills and experience there is sure to be a way for you to contribute. More members are needed for the management committee, along with other volunteers and fundraisers. They are also looking to opening the premises for meetings, children’s parties, leisure and recreation or car boot and table top sales.

For more information contact Louise Clark, Northumberland Association of Clubs for Young People, West 15, Whickham View, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 6UN. Tel 0191 2740011 or e mail nacyp@btconnect.com
