Welfare Park update

You may have noticed that the new seats and bins that were recently installed at the Welfare have been removed. This was in response to a number of comments received saying that the entry holes on the bins were not large enough. The bins will be replaced as soon as they have been altered. (Please note the same will be done to the bins on Queen Street).

Skatepark developments
Amble Development Trust recently received a letter, from the Community Spaces Fund, which was very positive – the Trust is now through to Stage 2 of the funding application! This application is essential to obtaining the funding we need to build a concrete skatepark at Amble Welfare.

‘Fingers crossed’, we are hoping that our Stage 2 application is successful!
Working in partnership with Coquet High School’s Youth Team manager, Angela Manktelow, and the young people who have developed this project from the start, the Trust aims to have potential designs ready for the Amble Welfare Fun Day (Saturday 11th July 2009) where everyone will be able to make comments on the proposals.
