New Moon - Review

Vampire image by Joseph Cooper

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their trouble may be just beginning…

Fabulous movie about the ongoing romance between Bella and Edward, Jacob reveals his true colours…
Lots of action for the boys and lots of romance for the girls.
And must be seen for all ages.

Friendly police
Shenice, Joseph and Mary interviewed Darin Fawcett and Katie Gerrard, Amble’s Community Support Officers

What inspired you to become a Community Support Officer?

Katie: “When I was at school I wanted to be a nurse but when I left school I wanted to get a job and earn money quickly. I like working with the community and I like helping people and making a difference.”

Have you ever arrested the wrong person?

Darin: “No! “

If someone was interested to be a policemen what would your advice be?

Katie: “My advice is to stick in at school.”

By Shenice

Has a criminal ever hurt you?

Katie: “No, but we sometimes get called bad names (swearing). There are usually more nice people than bad”.

Darin: “99% of people are nice. We spend a lot of time walking about with people. They think we’re more approachable because they know us. We go into the Boys Club, the Drop In and the schools.”

“Some people see kids aged 13 or over wearing hoodies and get the wrong idea and think they are causing trouble”.

By Joseph

What has been the worst or the easiest crime (to solve) so far?

Darin: “The easiest is when no-one needs any assistance. One of the worst things is when people ring 999 for a joke. Calling 999 is a serious business That number, is for emergencies only.”

What does the number on the side of your jackets stand for?

Katie:”It’s for when someone needs to contact you when you are on duty. Instead of saying your name, they say your number because if they just use your name there might me more than one person called that and all of them could turn up. If you use a number you know straight away that they mean you.”

My granny’s tree

angel on a Christmas tree Some of you might have noticed that the Christmas tree in the town square is lit up at the procession, but people have to take the lights off afterwards. This is because the tree has been vandalised in the past. The tree was pulled apart so we have to put new trees in 2 times a year. That makes me sad and upset because it was planted inhonour of my granny Elizabeth (Betty) Stewart.

Christmas Day!

I asked the Artograffi people what they liked best on Christmas day:

Siobhan: Opening Presents.
Me: Christmas dinner!
Andrew: Opening and seeing my presents
Aleshia: Seeing and wondering what they are.
Ashleigh: Getting together with family.
Laura: Unwrapping my presents slow so it lasts longer.
Joseph: Wondering what presents I’ve got.

Mary: - Be kind to her brother.
Andrew: - To do good at school.

Anna: - Not to strangle any of the Artograffi gang.

santa Eddy the Evil Elf

Story:
Tale of a Random Episode 1: The Magic Turnip

Once upon a time in a galaxy far away,
Russell the carrot was eating his daily breakfast of oatmeal…
On his journey to school, he stumbled upon a cardboard box filled with magical items…No.. wait… It was just a lunch box. Russell picked up the box and opened it to find…No.. wait…It was empty.

He arrived at school precisely on time (as usual) and went into his class. “Good evening you vegetables!” laughed Mr Mushroom “That’s not nice, you fungus!”
Richard the Frog shouted.
The class went awkwardly fast that day because after Richard said that...Wait…No it was the fire alarm.

They ran out of the school as fast as they could but his dear friend Timothy the Corncob got too hot and turned into popcorn. Suddenly the school reject, Philip the Turnip, grabbed the Cane of Justice and shouted “I got dat boom boom pow!” The flames engulfing the school disappeared instantly and at that, Philip wasn’t the school reject anymore.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

As you all know Katie Price has recently left the jungle. Lots of stories have been printed so I decided to ask Artograffi what they thought:

Mary: I don’t blame her because she was doing all the tasks.
Me: I think it will be better so others get the chance to do the challenges.
Andrew: I am happy because others get the chance to do the challenges.
Siobhan: I am sad she has gone out because she has done all the challenges.
Kayleigh: I don’t really mind.

So that proves more people want her to go in than not! But some people are not happy about it! I am because I love her so much and I wanted her to win as she knew what was in store for her!
This is who everyone else wants to win:

Mary: Stuart Manning
Siobhan: Sam Fox
Me: Gorge Hamilton
Ashleigh: Kym Woodburn
Mark: George Hamilton
