Congratulations Hildi!
Many congratulations to Hildi Wehr who is this year’s Good Young Citizen of the Year.

Hildi attends Amble Links Primary school and was nominated for the prize by headteacher Paul Heeley.
“Hildi really is everything that you could hope for in a good citizen as well as just being a lovely young person who is a credit to her family and to her school.
“She is so naturally caring and considerate that she does things to help without even being asked. DIY is one of her many talents; a recent example of this was fixing a tap in the bathroom without her mum even knowing.

“Hildi just loves life. She has no big desires for material things, finding joy in even the smallest things. She is unconsciously always on the lookout to help people. She genuinely cares about and does a lot for the community of Amble and the wider environment.”
Hildi was presented with a goody bag with presents from local businesses, Amble Town Council and Warkworth Parish Council; the main prize of a scooter was donated by Tulip Designs.
