Full steam ahead for Amble’s Christmas Lights and Parade
Hundreds of people turned out to see the festive lights switch-on, and despite wet weather during the day, fortunately there was no rain on Amble’s parade.

The theme for the parade this year was friendly/the Friendliest Port, with one community group pushing the boat out with a spectacular float in the shape of RMS Mauretania. Click here if you want to know the story about Amble and the famous ship.

The Lights Committee had excelled themselves with new lights along Queen Street, and the crowd cheered when they lit up the street.
