Remembering Martin Homer
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our CEO, Martin, who passed away on 31 December 2025.
From a coffee van at Alnmouth Train Station in 2010, Martin’s enthusiasm and dedication built Mocha Mondo Coffee into what it is today. He was the heart of the business and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Mocha Mondo Coffee is, and always will be, a reflection of Martin – his work ethic, his kindness and generosity towards others, and his genuine love for coffee and the community. His legacy lives on in every bean we roast and every cup we serve, and while we deeply miss him, we will continue Mocha Mondo in his absence, carrying his vision forward with the same care and passion he poured into it every day.
We would also like to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone for their kindness and support following Martin’s passing. Your orders, emails and many kind words of encouragement have not gone unnoticed. It has meant more to us than we can fully express.
