A moving (three hanky) love story of an affair between the Italian war bride of anIowafarmer and a photographer commissioned to shoot a series for National Geographic   on the covered bridges of the area.

Thirty years before, Andrei Filipov, the renowned conductor of the Bolshoi Orchestra was fired for employing Jewish musicians. Now a caretaker at the Bolshoi, he intercepts an invitation to the Orchestra to play at the Chatelet Theatre inParis. He gathers his former musicians together to replace the real Bolshoi at this engagement.
