Alan’s Angels aid air ambulance

A fundraising event held in memory of local fisherman Alan Gair, who was killed in a traffic accident on the A1 in 2009, raised in excess of £3,500 which will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance.

“We’ve had such a lot of support from the community, which was phenomenal” said event organiser Joanne Stone.

“Thank you to everyone that took part, helped and those who came along and supported the day. Thanks also to Tommy Boswell of Fun World who supplied the bouncy castle free of charge and stayed the duration of the day and Mel from Hope farm who brought along the ponies free of charge and both donated all funds raised on these to the air ambulance. The local businesses of Amble also helped with raffle donations.”
