Ross’ Big Catch
Amble’s 34th Open Shore championship held on 9th January had over 400 anglers taking part.
Ross Taylor aged 8 from Amble (pictured left) was junior winner. He caught eight flounders weighing a total of 7lb 0.5oz. This made him sixth overall in the competition.
Ross won £50 and a Sonik Sk3 beachcaster (worth about £150) and he was awarded the club trophy.
