The Druridge Bay 10k Run – Sun 29th May 2011

The Druridge Bay 10K committee have announced that this years chosen charity will be the RNLI.

The Druridge Bay 10k is a fantastic event that takes runners along the picturesque Druridge Bay coastline. All money raised at this event will support the RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews, so whether a committed runner, gentle jogger or fancy dress walker, come and join us – enter today!

The inaugural Druridge Bay 10K in 2007 saw 214 runners finishing at Druridge Bay Country Park and with 448 runners crossing the finish line in 2010 has continued to be a massive draw to both runners, spectators and fundraisers alike. The event has grown in size, stature and popularity, and has become a well established event in the North East’s sporting calendar.

The run, which incorporates some of Northumberland’s most picturesque coastal spots, is open to competitive athletes, joggers, walkers and fundraisers over the age of 13 (Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult). The 2011 run will be held on Sunday May 29th. Entries will be opening soon, which gives participants lots of time to train and prepare for the best DB10K yet.
