Crime figures in August

We have only had 10 recorded crimes in Amble in the whole of August. Breakdown as follows

4 x assaults – all assailants known to the victims.
1x shoplifting. Male arrested.
2x burglary otds (other than dwellings, which means garages, sheds, outbuildings). Amble allotment association and Amble Links first school. A number of allotment plots were broken into and various items stolen whilst an outside shed at the school was broken into.
1 x theft of a brass plaque taken overnight 15.08.11 from Alistair Turners funeral directors premises on Bede Street Amble.
1 x theft from a boat at Amble Boat Club.
1 x theft from a locker at Amble Links Holiday Park.

 

September

Amble police are continuing to focus on two reports over the weekend where pedal cycles were stolen from the Amble Holiday Links Caravan Park. The cycles were described as follows:

One (1) x silver/purple MAGNA womens mountain bike One (1) x BMX brown children’s bike One (1) x BMX pink / black children’s bike with ‘Challenge Side’down the frame.

Any information, please contact police.

Amble Police request bike owners to secure their cycles to prevent such thefts.
