Cramlington Town Whites 1  FC Amble U10s 2

FC Amble came out on top after surviving a late scare from Cramlington Town Whites .

Amble kicked off and were quickly on top and took the lead after only 2 minutes after a fine solo run and finish from D Handyside ( 1 – 0 )

They continued to dominate and controlled the game through the midfield with J Ford being the pivotal point of most of the good work . Amble could not however add to their tally and went in 1 0 up at the break .

The second half started in the same vain with Amble creating chances but being unable to convert. They looked comfortable at the back with T Hall directing the defence of M Kerr , R Paton and B Handyside but after 45 minutes Cramlington won a free kick on the edge of the Amble box with a rare foray into Amble territory. The free kick went straight through everyone and found its way in to the net for Cramlington to equalise at 1 1 .

This fired the youngsters from Amble up and they went all out attack from the resulting kick off and put the Crammy keeper under all sorts of pressure . This paid off after 48 minutes when the ball was hoisted into the Cramlington box and J Ford rose like a salmon and placed the ball in the far corner of the goal for Amble to take a deserved 2-1 lead .

Amble saw out the final couple of minutes with ease and were good value for their victory .
