December 2011 – January 2012
Well, this is quite a literary issue. Readers have certainly been creative with poems (pages 14, 15, 16, 8), a story (page 19), a satire (page 17), and some philosophical thoughts (pages 20, 16). And don’t forget the Artograffi page with Will’s well-written story. Different styles and voices make for a lively read, so if you have an idea, get writing and send it in.
We have our usual information articles, of course, the town council page is 18 and ‘Whats on’ has 3 pages this time: 21, 22 and 23. County Council reports are on page 20 and the Development Trust on page 17. Our schools have been busy with exciting new projects and traditional activities (p.8, 10, 16 ). And happy birthday! (page 8.) Is Nellie the oldest member of our community?
Encouraging news about the harbour on the front page, of course, along with awards for local business, which is great when we consider the economic forecasts. The Ambler team sincerely wish you a happy Christmas and a new year, which will hopefully not be as desperate as forecast.
Finally, all you Tweeters (and non-Tweeters) will be thrilled with Ant’s bigging up of Amble’s chippys. He’s obviously been missing us while he’s in Australlia.
