Jubilee celebration plans begin to shape up

Posted on 28th March 2012 | in Amble Town Council , Community , Heritage & Tourism , What's On

The celebration for the Jubilee will take place in Amble on 4 June 2012. It will be an event for children to bring their parents to and enjoy the festivities.

Starting with a red, white and blue themed parade (fancy dress or themed dress) down Queen Street, and finishing with the lighting of the Beacon on the Braid. A Church service will take place in St Cuthbert’s Church at 11.30, followed by a closing prayer after the beacon.

A draft time-line of possible events is featured below.

We expect to have people from out of town, so we need to impress them. Volunteers, marshals and even moral support will be needed.
