Save time: pay online

Northumberland County Council is encouraging local residents to save time and money, and pay their council bills online.

Residents can pay for a wide range of council services  including council tax, business rates, housing rents, planning fees, parking permits and garden waste collection through the council’s website www.northumberland.gov.uk. The authority accepts most major debit and credit cards and the service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Payments are made via a secure payment system.

Northumberland County Councillor Andrew Tebbutt, executive member of corporate resources said: “Making payments electronically also saves the County Council money. If a resident makes a payment to us over the phone it can cost over £3 however if they make a payment online it costs around 40p.”
