Northumberland Wildlife Trust is celebrating receiving funding from a number of sources. The charity has benefitted from several grants from the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Hauxley Land Appeal, in particular, has received a £4,000 cash boost from The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust. The current total of the land appeal stands at £89,000 – a staggering £14,000 over the £75,000 target allowing them to purchase the 12 acres of farmland adjacent to the reserve.

The £14,000 will be spent on work to restore the farmland to an area rich in wildlife and accessible to the public.
