Park and Ride service begins trial run

The Park and Ride service will leave from the Enterprise Park at 10am. See timetable for other pick up times

Northumberland County Council has been working with Amble Town Council to introduce a park and ride minibus service which will  run on Saturdays and Sundays on a 10-week trial starting on 12th July.

It will pick up at both Coquet Enterprise Park and the Braid Car Park  and drop passengers off at the bus stop in Church Street.

Going back it will pick up at Church Street and run alternately to the Braid and Coquet Enterprise Park.

During this trial period, the service will be free of charge to passengers.

The details are:

• The service will run between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting Saturday 12th July 2014 for 10 weeks, so the last day of operation will be Sunday 14th September 2014
• No fares will be charged
• Car parking and bus stopping points will be as follows:

a)      Car parking & bus pick-up/set down at Coquet Enterprise Park off Percy Drive
b)      Bus pick-up and set down at Church Street bus stops for the town centre
c)       Car parking & bus pick-up/set down at Braid Car Park

• The County Council has arranged for signs for the service to be put up to guide drivers from the A1068 to the Braid and Coquet Enterprise Park.
• The service will be run by PCL Coaches using a 16-seater minibus
