Vicky Pringle, 29, from Amble, is fundraising for St Oswald’s in memory of her mam, Nicola, who died at the Hospice.

Nicola benefitted from care on St Oswald’s Inpatient unit before she died aged 48 from cancer in October 2011. Vicky said:

“I couldn’t believe what an amazing place St Oswald’s is. All the staff were so lovely and caring. Mam was only there for 10 days but the care she was given was wonderful.

The event at the Mason Arms in Amble begins at 1pm on Sunday 17th August and will include a prize raffle, bottle raffle, bake sale, games, refreshments and live music from 3pm. Local artist Jimmy Thompson has donated one of his paintings to auction and local businesses have given vouchers and goods to boost the raffle prizes!

There will be a BBQ and teas, coffees, sandwiches and cakes to buy. Entry is free entry but donations are encouraged.
