It’s a jam packed weekend for locals and visitors this Bank Holiday with all manner of fun on offer.

Warkworth Beer Festival runs from Friday 22 – Monday 25th

Alnmouth raft race takes place at 2pm on Saturday 23rd.

Amble Lifeboat Day kicks off at 10am on Sunday 24th, it will be opened at 10am by Ann Cleeves, author of the Vera detective novels. It may also be the last chance to see the RAF Sea King from Boulmer before they are decommissioned. Unless called out on an emergency, the helicopter and Amble lifeboat crews will demonstrate a rescue exercise.

Amble Coastal Rowing Club’s handbuilt skiff will be launched at 1.30 at the Little Shore after a blessing by local clergy.

Bank Holiday Monday 25th sees the annual Hauxley Fun day, which starts at 11am in Low Hauxley Square.
