Looking at old photos of where you live can bring memories flooding back to share with family and friends. A DVD of old photos and archive footage of the Amble area is now available from www.sixtownships.org.uk, priced £5.79. It is available to schools and residential homes free of charge via our website and we cover the cost of postage too.

Sixtownships has been established since 2002 and the group produce DVDs of Northumberland. Memory Highway takes us on a nostalgic journey as we look back at Amble and surrounding area of Warkworth, Chevington, Broomhill, Red Row, Hauxley and Shilbottle, using archive footage and photographs. Included are shops, streets, coal mining, transport, salmon fishing on the River Coquet, the era of steam and much more.

Everyone has their treasured memories and we have included a good selection to ignite them and bring them flooding back for you.

Gather round the television, start your DVD and enjoy this trip down memory lane. You never know who you may recognise: it could be you, a family member or a friend.
