Amble Harbour Village comprises 15 retail pods and a Seafood Centre

Amble Harbour Village is set for a fun-packed launch, with historical re-enactments and a maritime theme throughout Saturday 28th March, to welcome visitors of all ages to the development.

After some disappointing delays last year and into this year, Amble Harbour Village is finally in the last stages of construction. 15 Pods are now in place and the Seafood centre is very near completion.

There is still some work to do on site and on the walk-way from the harbour and around the waterfront towards the Marina, but the end is in sight and several of the retail pods are already open and greeting their first customers.

Everyone is invited to our launch event planned for the first Saturday of the Easter holidays (28th March 2015), where there will be a Viking camp in the Town Square, a visit from Newcastle University’s research boat the ‘Princess Royal’ as well as cooking displays, arts, crafts, food & drink, displays, and fun activities for the kids.

We also plan to have a heritage display, the Amble skiff (as seen on ITV’s Tales From Northumberland with Robson Green),  and an offer in place to support the Amble Lifeboat as well as celebrate the Harbour Village opening.

Amble Harbour Village is a £2.5m development, funded by the Coastal Communities Fund, Regional Growth Network and Northumberland County Council.

Our Seafood Brokers are now in place. Helen and Andrew will be opening the doors to the seafood centre and sharing their plans for the year ahead.

Please come along and support our businesses in the pods and their fantastic range of products.
