VE Day remembrance
To commemorate VE day, on Friday 8 May, a wreath will be laid at the war memorial in Amble Town Square at 3pm.
Bells will peal from St Cuthbert’s at 11am on Saturday 9 May.
Editor’s note: We are informed by Amble Town Council that the lighting of the beacon, which was due to take place on Friday evening, has been cancelled.
