Love Northumberland

Entries are now open for the 2016 LOVE Northumberland Awards.

Entries are invited for the categories of best children’s project; best young people’s project; best urban project; best coast or countryside project; best new project; and an award for outstanding individual.

The awards were launched at the project that won last year’s coast or countryside category – the Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project in Hexhamshire.

The annual awards celebrate projects and initiatives that improve local neighbourhoods in Northumberland for the benefit of the community.

The winners are presented by the Duchess of Northumberland at an event in the Alnwick Garden, hosted by BBC TV’s Carol Malia, which this year will be held on Monday 20 June.

If you are a member of a group, or work with groups or individuals who you think could be eligible for an award, please find out more and enter at www.northumberland.gov.uk/love, email carrol.hessey@northumberland.gov.uk or phone 01670 622992.

The closing date this year is 25th May.
