Monday

  • Mondays at Dry Water Arts.

      • Creative Health Programme – A  FREE programme of rotating sessions: Singing for Fun, Meditation/Relaxation,  Printmaking, and The Reading Room where we share what we love to read. 1.30-3.30pm
      • Functional Yoga a class to maintain a good balance of strength and mobility to keep you moving well for longer. (£8.50). 5.30-6.45pm

    • Sit and Get Fit at Hadston House. Sessions take place every Tuesday from 10:30am – 11:30am. These gentle chair-based exercise sessions are designed specifically for older adults.     • Creating Soul Space – a time for relaxation and being creative at St Cuthbert’s Church in Amble, First and third Wednesday of each month 10.30 am until noon. No charge. The purpose is to relax, have fun and create something simply for the enjoyment of doing so. It is not about the end result.  New members are always made welcome. Sessions start at 10.30am with an explanation of the activity.   All materials are provided.  We have a time of relaxation/meditation and then about 45 minutes in which to create with a background of relaxing music.     • Netball Club. We’re all set to move into the new school sports hall from 10th September. Our weekly sessions will be: * Juniors (ages 8+) – Thursdays, 6:30pm–7:30pm * Adults (ages 14+) – Thursdays, 7:30pm–8:30pm We’re still finalising this season’s fees. Last season they were £2 per junior and £3.50 per adult per session, but there will likely be a small increase due to the higher hall hire costs. For adults, we’re introducing a new structure this season. We’ll have both a League Team and a Development Team. The League Team is for players who want to compete in the Northumberland League, while the Development Team is aimed at players who want to improve their skills and enjoy regular netball without the commitment of weekly league matches.     • The Puffins Lounge meets fortnightly at Dolphin Court on Thursdays, 2-4pm. Everyone is welcome to share chat, singing, games, exercise, coffee/tea, cake, fun, as well as a ‘hands on’ one-to-one help with using mobile phones, tablets, etc. We occasionally have a speaker to give a short talk with a Q and A session about scammers, GP surgeries, benefits, finance, and anything else we think might be useful. From time to time we have a slide show, a fish and chips meal, and we sang at Amble’s Variety Show! There is no cost involved, although people are very generous with donations.
