This unconditional sponsorship has been agreed to last for ten years with an annual donation of £5,000 to help the self-supporting charity which has been in operation for over twenty years.

Maurice Sewell the Chairman of Cheviot Holdings (Amble) Ltd said “Since starting a housing development programme in Amble we have been impressed by its strong caring community and we are pleased to be able to support the young people in the area via the Amble Youth Project, we hope to be able to offer employment to local people soon and continue to contribute to the future success of the community”

An official cheque presentation and photo was planned but unfortunately Covid 19 has prevented this,. Nevertheless the donation was successfully made.

Ian Parks and Jeff Watson of Amble Youth Project said “It was a shame to have to cancel the cheque presentation but it does not spoil the appreciation that we feel for this ongoing sponsorship from Cheviot Holdings, it will help to ensure that we can continue to support the young people of the Town for years to come”

The project is restricted by Covid precautions at the moment but is doing as much as it can to continue its work with young people, and will resume normal operations when it is safe to do so.
