Amble businesses’ big night of wins

Four Amble businesses were treading the red carpet on 3 October at two different awards ceremonies in Newcastle.

Headmasters who was the Best Barber regional winner at the Englands Business Awards held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Newcastle. Owner Dawn Robinson said “I am absolutely over the moon, words can’t really express how I’m feeling right now. I am so grateful to everyone for their continued support, it really means a lot.”

Styles by Helena who was the Best Morpeth business winner at the Englands Business Awards. Salon owner Helena Allan said, “I’m proud of my stylist Natalie Henderson and grateful to all our loyal clients who made this happen.”

1911 Coffee Co, who won a TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Award this summer, and was a regional nominee at the Englands Business Awards. Co-owner of the family business Joe Macaulay-Yeoman said, “We sadly didn’t win the main prize but we’re immensely proud of the team for making it to be finalists (top 5) in the “best coffee shop” category.”

Beauty Queen, who won a 5 star Beauty Salon award at the NE Beauty Industry Awards held at the Gosforth Park Hotel. Salon owner Kay Harding said: “We were nominated by our clients which was such as shock as we didn’t even know the awards were taking place. We were in the category for 5 star Beauty Salon against 9 other salons for Northumberland, and we won.

“I have been so close three times before coming away with a highly commended awards, so to finally win meant so much to me. Both myself and Casey work so hard and I have built my business up over the past 8 years, so to have that hard work recognised by our clients make it all worthwhile.
