Death announced of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
The Amble community joins the rest of the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen passed away on 8 September, after 70 years on the throne. She was surrounded by her family who travelled to Balmoral to be by her side.
Her Majesty visited Alnwick in 2011, as the guest of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, and where she was introduced to several people from Amble. Many community groups including The Ambler were also invited to the event.

In 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Charles visited Amble. He will now become King Charles III.
