Tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Tributes have begun from the people of Amble marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Union Jack flies at half mast in Amble’s Memorial Gardens

The flag in Amble’s Memorial Gardens has been lowered to half mast, and flowers placed behind the clock tower. The message reads:

Flowers have been left in tribute to the Queen

“On behalf of the People of Amble
In tribute for a lifetime of devotion to all her people”

Members of the public may also place floral tributes on the grass behind the clock tower if they wish.

A book of condolence has been opened at Amble Town Council offices, and members of the public can leave their messages between 10am – 2.00pm Monday – Friday, and 6.00pm – 8.00pm on a Wednesday evening.

Another book of condolence has been opened in St Cuthbert’s Church everyday from 9am -4pm
