Armistice Day service 2022
Amble school children gathered in the Town Square today to mark Armistice Day. A service was held to remember the fallen of all wars since WW1.
Peter Proctor Cannon began the service by reading a poem about the town clock, after which Rev Velda Nicholson read prayers.
The two minute silence was observed by all the children of Brambles nursery, Amble First School and Amble Links First School, as well as members of the public in the square.
David Shoemaker and Kevin Wright joined Peter Proctor Cannon to represent veterans of the 15/19 Kings Royal Hussars
