Increase in antisocial behaviour

Northumbria Police have had an increase in reports of vehicle antisocial behaviour in the Amble and surrounding areas.
Officers have increased patrols and targeted known offenders in the area.
One car was uplifted on 5 March 2024 which has been involved in ASB and driving offences.
Police have had reports and information from the public that a motorbike was being used and driven dangerously within the Amble area.
Officers located the motorbike and it was uplifted from Windsor Terrace, Amble.
Northumbria Police have been working with Northumberland County Council to source an ASB camera for Morrisons car park after reports of vehicle ASB. Officers and the Council are hoping to deploy the camera in the near future. This will assist to identify and prosecute offenders.
There has been an increase in reports of speeding on the A1068, the main road through Amble. The Police and Council are monitoring the situation and we will look into traffic calming measures if necessary to deter offending.
Amble neighbourhood team take all reports of vehicle ASB seriously and we will target offenders, uplift offending vehicles and prosecute the drivers and riders involved.
