Census 2011: collectors needed

Posted on 18th February 2011 | in Community , News

On 27 March 2011 all homes will be taking part in a census. The census is carried out every ten years to count people and households in England and Wales.

Local people are needed for the Census team. A number of different roles are available. They will be full or part-time, for a few weeks or several months, and will require a range of skills, so there really is something for everyone. The roles available include census collectors who will go  into the community and encourage people to fill in the questionnaires, with census coordinators managing this process.

In addition census coverage survey (CCS) staff will carry out door step interviews with the public.

For more information about census roles visit www.censusjobs.co.uk or contact the recruitment helpline on 0845 6044 013.
