Theatre returns to Amble

Amble will welcome audiences to Neil Gore’s adaptation of the famous working class novel by Robert Tressell. The Ragged Trousered Philanthrophists brings this witty, humorous and absorbing classic book to life in a one-man magic lantern show. Featuring political conjuring, music and songs echoing the lives of painters and decorators struggling to maintain themselves in times of Edwardian austerity.


The show is on Thursday 10 June in the Parish Hall, Dovecote Street, NE65 0DX at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:00). Tickets are adults £10, concessions £8, children £5, they can be bought from N&F Young, 8 Queen Street and online at https://highlightsnorth.co.uk, or on the door.

There is also a “2 for 1” special offer for 16–35-year-olds who can get 2 tickets for £10.

Audience numbers will be limited to ensure a Covid safe environment.
